As President of FIANS, I am honoured to work with many exceptional volunteers both on the Board of Directors and within the membership to provide educational opportunities for those interested in fire inspection and safety.  Founded in 1994 as a not for profit organization, FIANS has proven over the decades to be a leader in this field.  Our programs are second to none in Canada and our +90 members are able to continue their educational journey through our twice yearly in person conferences.

To complete our Level 1 and Level 2 certification, you must be committed to attending these sessions, typically held in the spring and fall each year.  To acquire Level 1, the time frame is approximately 2 years (4 conferences) in addition to completing the home study program.  For Level 2, the education is more in depth and currently spans 4 years (8 conferences).

The registration for the upcoming fall conference is now open.  We will be meeting at the Inverary Inn in Baddeck the week of November 5^th.
